Art Historian - Ancient and Modern Art Advisor
I graduated in History of Modern Art at University of Bologna with a dissertation about 17th century painter Matteo Loves. Since then, I specialised in painting and sculpture from 16th to 19th century, with a specific focus on Emilia-Romagna art environment. I provide consultancy services to private and public institutions, foundations, museums, galleries, auction houses and collectors.
I have gained valuable experience in cultural heritage management throughout several years of professional activity. Specifically, I have been providing cataloguing services, management and valorization of artistic heritage; I have created and coordinated study and work group; I have managed and coordinated ancient and modern art exhibitions (management, coordination, procurement, marketing and promotion).
Constantly engaged in research activities, I have been publishing academic papers and studies dedicated to ancient painting and sculpture.
I have curated several catalogues of exhibitions, namely Da Cimabue a Morandi. Felsina Pittrice (2015), Il Tesoro d’Italia (2015), Lotto Artemisia Guercino. The more and more interested in Contemporary art trends, I encourage the promotion of emergent artists as well as contemporary masters. I have curated exhibition Le materie dei sogni and its catalogue of sculptor Nicola Zamboni.
I’m a certified C.C.I.A.A expert, enrolled at C.T.U of Bologna.
In September 2020 I was appointed Director of Fondazione Ferrara Arte.
